Ground State Assembly was a statement of intent

Last week we held our inaugural Ground State Assembly.
It was a statement of intent for where we’re going next as the world’s best specialist early-stage quantum VC fund.
Designed as the private forum for quantum capital, the event brought together the global investment community and some of the world’s best technologists, which of course included our own portfolio companies.
Taking place at Amsterdam’s historic West-Indisch Huis, conversations onstage included quantum’s journey from breakthrough science to venture-ready tech; creating value across the whole quantum computing stack; quantum's road to the public market, and the emerging market for quantum sensing, from manufacturing to defense.
But the conversations in the room between attendees are what made it really special, and the event created real value for investors and founders alike.
The opportunity to strike early in quantum is now, and Ground State Assembly is where the capital and the technology come together in a uniquely powerful way.
Thanks to founders from our portfolio companies who participated onstage, including QuantWare, QT Sense, Diffraqtion, EuQlid, SiC Systems, Rhonexum, QphoX, Orange Quantum Systems, and Sygaldry.
Next steps
The feedback from the first Ground State Assembly has been incredible. We are already busy planning 2027’s event, which will take place in the US and build upon everything that took place last week.
Want to hear more from Ground State Assembly? Dutch business radio station BNR was on the scene. They interviewed Ton in Dutch, and Chad Rigetti and Charles Marcus in English after a short Dutch intro.
